Overview
Have a Heart for CANFAR is the foundation’s national youth education campaign, providing high school students with the tools to educate each other about HIV and AIDS.
Every year around Valentine's Day, students in schools across Canada take part in the campaign by selling Heart-o-grams to their peers. CANFAR supplies schools, at no cost, with all of the materials to create awareness of AIDS and HIV, and to support the purchase of Heart-o-grams.
Details
Oxygen designed a recruitment kit and website aimed at student council leaders to generate participation in the campaign, and posters and T-shirts for use by the school to promote the purchase of Heart-o-grams. With Dentyne as the Heart-o-gram sponsor, small safe-sex inserts were included into the gum paks. Washable tattoos and iron-on transfers for T-shirts were also produced as promotional items. As the program was celebrating its 10th year, we were also asked to design English and French anniversary logos.
