Constellation NewEnergy (CNE) asked Oxygen to brand and launch a revolutionary electricity-buying program that could help corporations better forecast energy costs. Our challenge was making this innovative yet fairly complex service both compelling and easy to understand, and get the largest electricity buyers in North America to consider investing in the program.
Abstracted from the program’s process of “information to implementation,” Oxygen formed the i2i name and designed the service mark. A dramatic brochure aimed at CEOs, CFOs and upper-level execs presented the need for a new type of energy-management solution. A short video featuring CNE senior management identified the benefits of i2i and was sent to prospects on an iPod, inside a branded kit. A sophisticated program enrollment binder and customized monthly reports were designed to support the ongoing flow of information provided to i2i customers.
Oxygen energized CNE’s North American sales force, arming reps with clear and convincing materials to create significant interest in the program. It got a tremendous response from targeted customers, and program enrollment exceeded expectations.

The fifth-largest in North America, this energy company was offering its corporate customers the ability to access their billing, usage and statistical reports online in real time through an online interface called NewEnergy Online [NEO]. It was deemed complicated and not as effective as they wanted, so our job was to increase user registration by giving participants a new, easy-to-understand dynamic platform to view the features and advantages of this service, which were fairly diverse and complex.
With a human approach, we built an interactive demonstration of NEO narrated by three characters, determined through customer profiles. Our video production team shot and produced the character narration videos and our interactive team married them with an online Flash presentation of the NEO functions and features.
The new interface was very successful. Internally, the sales team found the tool engaged and educated clients, and existing clients now found it much easier to use. As a result, registration for NewEnergy Online increased exponentially.

With costs rising and industry supply changes occurring, energy was on the minds of many businesses. Constellation NewEnergy took the initiative to form an ongoing seminar series to empower its customers with actionable knowledge they could use to effectively manage their electricity costs. The invitations had to break through the clutter of typical supplier-based mail and reinforce the quality and value of the seminar information. Naming it the Power Series, we delivered a bold design solution that put people in the seminar seats.
A multi-card format allowed for customization of the changing seminar specifics, and single production of the unchanging information pieces and holder.
