Rethink Breast Cancer / 10th Anniversary Logo
10th Anniversary Logo Design
For 10 years Rethink Breast Cancer has been a challenger charity. It has earned a reputation for unconventional everything, from marketing to fundraising events, programs to research. In honour of its 10th anniversary, Oxygen gifted Rethink a 10 YEARS graphic to add to its logo to reflect the grassroots, major splash it’s succeeded in making in breast cancer awareness and aid for the past decade.
Considering how to cost-effectively add the 10-year logo to Rethink’s current materials without reprinting them, and developing a logo that could be applied easily to many media, we designed the “Splash.” Its loose character translated well to rubber stamps, which were used to apply the logo, in a range of brand ink colours, to existing printed materials.

Rethink Breast Cancer / Twitter Background
Twitter Backgrounds Design
Rethink asked Oxygen to create Twitter page backgrounds for its own use and for its supporters’ use too. The iconic Twitter bird and the term “tweeting” were made humorously relevant to the Rethink brand. We’re still fans of the classic, lacy white bra — you?

Rethink Breast Cancer / Chemo Care Kit
Brochure Design
Production
When going through treatment for breast cancer, Brigitte Davlut kept a diary of the side effects of chemotherapy – like fatigue, nausea, sensitivity to smells, and mouth sores – and what helped her ease them. Brigitte asked Rethink if it would produce a guide sharing insights learned and solutions she found over the course of her own personal experience with chemotherapy that might help other women. The resulting guide’s information is largely inspired by Brigitte, and is part information about Rethink’s programs that support women with breast cancer.
Not wanting to overwhelm women with all the effects chemotherapy can have, we designed a piece that presented information with honesty and sensitivity, and achieved a level of credibility that was acceptable to hospitals, which hand out the brochures to women starting treatment.

Rethink Breast Cancer / Burlesque Event
Oxygen was happy to donate the design for Rethink Breast Cancer’s annual big summer fundraiser, Burlesque: All Dolled Up in the 21st Century.
This was a fun and sexy soirée intended for a 21– to 35-year-old demographic. We designed an animated e-vite, posters, tickets, T-shirts and event signage that used hot Rethink pink and a tasteful burlesque-inspired illustration.
